In addition to art-hopping throughout the grand old city of Havana, participants will enjoy the colonial architecture found at every corner, live music and dance performances, home-cooked Caribbean foods in the city's numerous paladares, and person to person interactions with Cuban artists, scholars and locals.

On the Creative Currents Artist Collaborative Cuba Art & Culture Tour we will immerse ourselves in Cuban life with walking and bus tours of Havana neighborhoods.  We will vibe with the youth of the Cuban Rap Association.  We'll take a ferry ride across the bay to Regla to visit the church of the Black Virgin.  We'll meet the noted Afro-Cuban filmmaker, Gloria Rolando, and view her latest work.

In addition, We will travel to Santiago de Cuba, the 2nd largest city in Cuba and home to it's largest Afro-Cuban population, considered by some as Cuba's most Carribean city.  Santiago de Cuba has played an instrumental part in the evolution of Cuban literature, music, architecture, politics and ethnology, all with the Afro-Cuban experience firmly rooted at the center of it all.
